Job Description:
The Assembly Integration and Test Focus Factory at Space and Airborne Systems is seeking an experienced manufacturing technician to join the precision structures fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have a background in composite materials and the ability to work within tight tolerance specifications. The role emphasizes the timely execution of assigned tasks with a focus on quality. Responsibilities include working both independently and as part of a team to fabricate, build, handle, repair, and integrate complex, unique composite parts and assemblies in a low-volume setting. This position involves direct collaboration with engineers on the design, development, and fabrication of new and existing products. Requires use of overhead cranes, equipment and rigging best practices. Verify quality of product in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Essential Functions:
Experience with composite materials.
Perform work in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment.
Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions.
Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
Work with very fragile and precise assemblies.
Assist with identifying problems and suggest solutions.
Adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices.
Work with a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment.
Proficient with measuring tools (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)


Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
Ability to work overtime/weekends/shifts as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, and move around for long periods.


This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.

Pay Range: $28.00 - $32 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
