Job Summary:
Responsible for product flow and management of orders through
packaging, sorting and shipping operations to meet business unit
metrics and Service Level goals. Assists the Operations Expeditor
with tracking and investigating aging or problem orders. Assists
Operations Coordinator with team training and management, staff
placement and rotation based on daily production flow and
targets.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine preventative maintenance checks on equipment
in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Troubleshoots minor equipment problems in a timely manner to
avoid production downtime.
- Works with operations leadership to prioritize and manage
workflow, including analysis and direction of orders from MTO lines
and Line Side Stock inventory
- Analyzes WIP levels daily to determine product flow through
packaging, sorting and shipping operations
- Partners with Operations Coordinator to ensure proper staffing
assignments in order to achieve daily shipping metrics and service
levels
- Performs investigation and daily maintenance of orders on
sorting machines utilizing database information
- Assists with the investigation of aging orders
- Responsible for rejecting, canceling, and restarting MTO orders
as needed during the expediting process
- Identifies and escalates unresolved issues to maintenance,
business systems or OPEX support promptly and provides updates to
the leadership team as needed
- Communicates internally and externally to provide order status
updates for expediting as needed
- Works closely with IT and Business Systems teams and submits IT
tickets to resolve problem orders
- Operates packaging and sorting machinery
- Trains production operators on essential job functions and
production equipment according to SOPs
- Performs startup and shutdown of machinery as needed
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Baan, CVML, CVML-ES, LCSC, SVSC, MTO Toolbox and PMS, Microsoft
Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
- Exhibit strong communication skills both verbal and
written
- Ability to utilize PC, Phone, Copier/Scanner, HMI
interfaces
- Excellent understanding of and compliance with all SOP's,
regulatory requirements, and cGMP's
- Follows appropriate safety and equipment maintenance
procedures
- Knowledge of packaging and distribution equipment.
- Knowledge of product scrap and defect issues
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn
packaging equipment
- Ability to understand and perform basic mathematical
functions
- Must have basic computer skills needed to operate Packaging
software
- Ability and dexterity to utilize various hand tools for minor
maintenance on equipment and product packaging
- Sound knowledge of applicable business systems and
operations
- Demonstrates the ability to lead a team
- Must have a working knowledge of collation, packaging and
sorting equipment
- Ability to perform minor troubleshooting and equipment
adjustments Work Environment:
- Works scheduled holidays and overtime in order to maintain
service levels for customers

- Work near moving mechanical parts > 75% Experience:
- One year experience working with machinery in a
manufacturing/shipping environment
- Experience operating packaging or automated equipment such as
robotics, labelers, sorting equipment or similar preferred.
- Must have experience sorting, picking and shipping orders for
Scottsville Manufacturing Operations or similar make-to-order
facility. Education:
- High School diploma or GED required

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the
starting base pay for this role is between $23.29 and $28.60 per
hour and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base
pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification
in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types
of compensation and benefits.
